20 Uber Driver Items That Should Be In Every Rideshare Car

Tuesday, 01 January 2019 by Ride Share Revenues

There are 20 Uber driver items that you should have if you are driving on the Rideshare platform. Keeping your vehicle clean and being prepared for mishaps is important. I have found that by having these tools in my vehicle at all times keep me with a higher rating than most Uber drivers. In addition to great ratings I get larger and more frequent tips. This brings me to my next point of maximizing Uber income. The digital tools mentioned in this video help increase Uber referral money as well as save on taxes.

The 20 Uber Driver Items That You Need

1. Black and Decker Flex Hand Vac

This is the most used tool in my car. I use this everyday. The pet hair attachment is fantastic. Removal of dirt, grass and small crumbs is flawless. It only takes about 2-minutes to cleanup behind a rider when needed. This hand vac is a lifesaver. It’s not heavy which helps in getting around the car fast. The Black and Decker Flex Hand Vac is one of the best investments a rideshare driver can make. this goes for those who drive for Uber of Lyft.

2. GoPro Hero Session

You will need something to record your rides in case of an accident. Having a small video recorder like the GoPro Hero Session is ideal. It produces video in 1080 HD and can also shoot stop animation. The added benefit is if something pops off inside your car you can quickly grab it off the mount and shoot that action.

3. Lint Roller

Pet dog and cat hair can be a real problem to Uber drivers that don’t have a lint roller. This simple item will allow you to remove hair from your seat within seconds. I have found that not only is it good for pets, but it’s fantastic for men and women who leave hair behind too.

4. Cellphone Clip Holder For Car

One thing that will surely cause you to get a low rating is driving with your cellphone in your hand while navigating. Passengers don’t like this AT ALL. Why? Because it’s dangerous! Taking your eyes off the road constantly places YOU and the rider in a higher percentile of being in an accident. Buying a simple cellphone holder is a sure way to dodging BAD ratings from Uber riders and staying safe.

5. LED Flashlight

Having an LED Flashlight in your car is important for two reasons.

  • #1 is to look around for lost items that passengers may have left behind after a ride.
  • #2 is for preparation of jumping off your vehicle or changing a tire in the dark.

The brightness of these kind of flashlights are optimal for seeing in the dark.

6. Rain-X Windshield Cleaner

One of the most frequent things you will do as an Uber driver is clean your windows. If you have to do this, it just makes sense to use a window cleaner that will repell rain. The Rain-X windshield cleaner is a lot better than the average Windex cleaning solution.

7. Febreze Air Freshner or Natural Oils

There will be times that a passenger will leave a foul smell in your vehicle. This is something that can lead to immediate dissatisfaction of a customer when driving. Pungent smells will get you a bad rating 9 out of 10 times. Having something like a Febreze Air Freshener or some Essential Oils in your vehicle can help eliminate bad odors FAST!

8. Car Charger with Outlet/USB Ports

One of the best investments I ever made for my Uber business was buying a Car Charger/Adapter for my passengers. The functionality of this tool not only keeps Uber riders happy but it garners 5 star ratings. People can charge cellphones, laptops and mobile tablets while riding with you. It’s a fantastic item that EVERY Uber driver should have in their cars.

9. Personal Cell Phone Charger

Nothing is worse than being out on a day when money is good and your phone is dying. If you can’t turn on the Uber app you can’t accept rides. Your day is over and money WILL be lost. Don’t get caught out Ubering around without a charger for your phone.

10. Auxiliary Input Cable Cords

As a driver you will get the request many times from your passenger to listen to personal music on their phone. This can be done through Spotify or Pandora via bluetooth or direct to the riders cell via an Auxiliary Cord. Customizing the riders experience through music is a HUGE plus for 5 star ratings and tips.

11. Vomit Bags

If you were to ever pick up an Uber rider who is a bit intoxicated you could experience vomit. There is nothing worse than the smell of a human throwing up in your vehicle. Not only is it a horrible scent, but it’s hard to clean from fabric. To caution yourself from this act I urge you to buy some DYANAREX 4707 Blue Emesis Bags and keep them in your car.

12. Car Blade Squeegee

After washing your car the absolute fastest way to remove water from your vehicle is a Bladed Silicone Squeegee. Before you take a shammy to your vehicle the water is 80% removed within minutes. This tool also helps clear off misty windows covered with condensation in the mornings or late humid nights.

13. Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

Getting a microfiber cleaning cloth will save you a considerable amount of time when it comes to cleaning off windows. Uber riders will leave finger and hand prints all over your glass. When you are in action driving you have to move fast. These cloths will remove fingerprints quickly allowing you to get back on the road to get more money from fares.

14. Pen and Index Cards

I use a basic pen and index cards to go old school when it comes to gathering quick information at times. You can’t always to get your phone when you need to forge a relationship. Having these two common tools in your car will go a long way. You never know who you are riding in your mobile business.

15. Water Bottle Filled with Soap

This is a major key. If someone vomits in your car you will need to begin the cleanup process fast after documenting the pictures for Uber. You don’t want puke drying up in the fabric of your seats.

16. Latex Hand Saver Gloves

You don’t want vomit touching your hands if you have to clean that mess up. Having a pair of Latex Gloves is the easiest form of protecting yourself while cleaning up vomit from an Uber passenger.

17. Terry Cloth Towels

When cleaning up human vomit you wanna use something that you don’t care much about. These cheap, but very useful terry cloth towels will do the trick every time.

18. WAZE Navigation App

When it comes to navigating around I use the WAZE Navigation App ninety-five percent of the time. Google Maps is good and Uber’s built in navigation is just horrible. However, the WAZE app is SUPER awesome. Watch the video below to find out how I use WAZE to make an extra $200 a week from it’s features. WATCH Video

19. MileIQ App

When it comes down to tracking my miles for my Uber business I choose to go with the Mile IQ App. Mileage tracking is a huge part of the Rideshare business and if you aren’t doing it right you are costing yourself $1,000’s of dollars per year as a Uber driver.

20. Personal Uber Website

If you have not built a personal Uber website you are losing a potential of $10K – $20,000 a year in income and tax deductions. Having a website allows you to expand your Uber business from driving to blogging. This qualifies you for additional tax deductions. In addition to that the Uber referral income is substantial. An Uber blog allows you to brand yourself and your Uber business like never before. You can also build the website up to sell ads to other business owners in your area or even boost other businesses you may have. There is 6 ways to get paid as an Uber driver and referrals is a BIG one. WATCH the video here to learn How To Build An Uber Website to make $1,000’s of dollars.

Honorable Mention

 Oversized Windproof Umbrella

An easy way to make a customer happy is to provide them temporary shelter in the rain with your Oversized Windproof Umbrella. Escorting an Uber rider to your car in the rain is a very easy way to get a 5 star rating. Uber car care is one of the essential things every driver must be aware of every day. After all, this is your business on wheels. Carrying these essential tools in your vehicle will allow you to protect it as well as maintain high ratings from passengers.

6 Ways To Get Paid As An Uber Driver

Tuesday, 01 January 2019 by Ride Share Revenues

There are 6 ways to get paid as an Uber driver. Most rideshare drivers only earn money from three of them. Not knowing the other 3 ways can easily cost them tens of thousands of dollars a year. Uber driving is NOT just about DRIVING your vehicle to make money. True business owners understand that they are independent contractors who drive for themselves. This mindset allows them to explore and expand their business far beyond driving a car for income. Real business is about forging relationships, diversifying income streams and providing great customer service. So how do you do this as an Uber driver?

What Are The 6 Ways To Get Paid As An Uber Driver?

  • Driving
  • Referrals
  • Tips
  • Bonuses
  • Business To Consumers
  • Business To Business

These are the six basic ways ANY Uber driver can 10X their income. Rideshare drivers complaining about not making any money or only averaging $10 an hour have NO IDEA how to be an Uber business owner. They are just driving. To be honest, as a driver for Lyft or Uber you shouldn’t even be thinking about hourly wages. That’s an Employee Mindset. Business owners are only concerned with profit and loss.

If you treat Uber like a job, it will pay you like an employee. If you treat it like a business, it will pay you like a BOSS!

It doesn’t matter if you drive full-time or part time for Uber. If you want to make $1,000’s of dollars EVERY month you have to be a savvy business owner. If you just get in your car and drive you WILL FAIL! There is so much more than just riding around the city in your vehicle picking up and dropping off passengers.

Uber Driver Requirements

Saturday, 29 December 2018 by Ride Share Revenues
Many people want to earn extra money with their car, but don’t know the Uber driver requirements. Many social media sites provide random information about the process. The requirements for Uber drivers can be confusing. This short article will guide you through the simple process of Uber driver requirements. You will be able to sign up and drive within minutes. Let’s look at becoming an Uber driver closely.

Uber Driver Requirements

Driver Age Requirements for Uber

  • 21 Years of age is the legal provision
  • 3 Years of driving experience needed. Driving history verification may be a must if you have moved from another state. I tell all applicants to keep their out-of-state drivers license. Uber headquarters may ask for it.

More Important Uber Driver Requirements

  • Car insurance for your state must be current and in your name
  • Have an in-state registered car for driving. The vehicle doesn’t have to be in your name.
  • Your driver’s license must be in-state.
  • Background checks are mandatory, so you must have a Social Security Number.

Background Check Information

  • Have a clean driving record for greatest results.
  • You will need to pass the background check.

Background checks are done by a reputable 3rd party company. It be days or weeks depending on state volume. Passing the background check: A look into your past 7 years, and what you cannot have on record.

  • Zero accidents with a fatality
  • Zero reckless driving
  • Zero criminal history reports
  • Zero DUI or drug related offenses
  • Zero no insurance charges
  • Zero driving with suspended license charges

Uber Car Requirements

To drive for Uber you will have to have a specific vehicle that meets Uber car requirements. UberX vehicle requirements:

  • A sedan with 4 doors. Has to seat up to 4 passengers, not including the driver.
  • 2006 operational vehicle or newer. (Uber’s car year needs vary by city)
  • Vehicle plates registered in-state.
  • Car must qualify in an Uber vehicle inspection.
  • Marked taxi, or salvaged vehicles are not permitted.
  • The car’s registration will have to be current.

How to become an Uber driver

Read the easy  step-by-step guide to becoming an Uber driver here. Here is a quick summary of the necessary steps: Step 1. Fill out the simple driver application here. Step 2. Complete a car inspection to meet Uber requirements. Step 3. Wait patiently for your background check to clear. Step 4. Push the Go Online button in the app and start driving.

What to do if you don’t meet Uber driver requirements!

So, what do you do if your application to drive for Uber gets denied? Every driver is not accepted. Here are some reasons Uber headquarters may not approve you. You are under the required age of 21. Uber requires all their drivers to be 21 years old. 47 states recognize adults at the age of 18. Seems Uber has more reasoning behind their age rule. You are missing a Social Security Number, or not a legal U.S. working resident. If you are an immigrant, I suggest consultation with an immigration lawyer. Your visa document may prohibit you from working in the U.S., but Uber may allow you to sign up with an SSN # you have. This could violate the terms of your issued visa, and is not recommended. The background check administered was NOT passed. If Uber declines your application due to a failed background check, request it yourself. It’s important to see what is hindering you from making money as an Uber driver. If what’s listed is correct it will take about 7 years to drop off your record. Your Uber car doesn’t qualify. If your vehicle doesn’t meet the guidelines for driving with uber, simply upgrade. You don’t have to buy a new car, used is just fine. Uber even has a leasing program for drivers to get started. The payment for your used or leased vehicle will be offset by the money you earn with Uber weekly. You lack ALL the in-state documents required. To drive for Uber the following in-state documents are mandatory:

  • License
  • Car registration
  • Car insurance

If you need to secure auto insurance the following companies issue free quotes online.

  • Liberty Mutual Insurance
  • 21st Century Insurance
  • Compare.com

Conclusion: Making Money with Uber

Simply follow the information above and fill out the Uber driving application. This is the best way to see if you meet the Uber driver requirements. It only takes minutes to complete. If you sign up with my personal referral link you or ANY family member can get a CASH bonus.
